Untitled for Film is a student club for movie lovers. The club’s program is set and run by students who study media arts and design at Chiang Mai University with help and supervision from teachers at the faculty of fine arts. Every Saturday around 7 pm, the club hosts an open-air movie screening on the rooftop of a faculty building and welcomes both students and the general public to attend the event free of charge; drinks and snacks are on sale at a small bar.

It was established as an open group for all who love photography and wish to improve their photographic skills. The club has an online platform for sharing or posting photos where people can ask for suggestions and advice on anything to do with photography. The online platform is a useful tool for budding photographers as suggestions and advice from the club members or CMPC staff can be obtained directly and promptly. In addition, the group organizes occasional CMPC trips and other related activities and events.

THAPAE EAST

A creative venue, Thapae East, opened its door to the public in 2015. It comprises of two main areas: an open air lawn area with a large two-storey red-steel structure used as a background for events such as film screenings, parties and concerts, and two rows of shophouses that include a restaurant and bar at the entrance leading to the lawn area. Shops are run by artists and friends and include shops for book binding, Indian style accessories, handmade and home decorative items, an architecture office and a Mexican restaurant. Thapae East is known to host exciting concerts of different styles of music every month.
